Puppy Kindergarten

7 weeks

About the Course

Puppy Kindergarten is for puppies between 9 and 20 weeks of age.  We use gentle, effective techniques to guide your puppy in ways that makes sense to them.  With appropriate handling, teaching and socialization we can prevent future behavior problems.

Research has shown the most important time in your dog’s life is under 16 weeks of age. Your puppy is learning every minute and enrolling in a safe well structured training group makes learning good puppy manners easy and fun. There will also be time set aside each week to answer questions about housetraining, chewing, barking and more!

Topics covered include:

Basic commands:

  • sit

  • down

  • stand

  • stay and wait

  • the beginning of a reliable recall

  • polite walking on lead

  • leave it/don't touch

  • chewing

  • jumping up

  • puppy biting

  • stealing items

  • barking

  • housetraining

  • learning to be ok when left alone
